Washi Wednesday haul

So excited to get this package in the mail.

I buy myself a birthday present every year and this year I bought some washi tape from Washi Wednesday for the first time.

I was introduced to this Etsy shop through Johanna Clough on YouTube and ever since I saw it, it’s been on my wish list.

The one on the far left, in particular, was one I was after most.

It took a while going through all the tapes and narrowing down which ones to get, but this is what I settled on.

I made sure to get lots of wide tapes because I love how useful they are. I especially love using them for spines of journals but also love that they can be used just for decoration.

I got ones that would go with botanical and vintage themed journals.

Excited to use them!

Junk journal

Four faith journals

I got a custom order from a lady who want four faith journals to give to her friends.

Here are the covers:

They’re all a little different, but all have the same sort of style with the same range of papers.

Here’s a look at what they look like on the inside:

Love making these journals. Got an order for two more – yay! So, I’m making a bulk lot of four-six faith journals and hopefully the lady likes two of them.

Here’s a flip through of each journal:

Happy Mail

Next happy mail to the Netherlands

Here’s the next package I’m sending overseas for a happy mail swap.

I’ve now got the goal to do a happy mail swap with people from as many countries as possible.

So far I’ve got Australia, USA, UK, Germany, Sweden, and now the Netherlands.

I’m hoping to do one a month.

Junk journal

My latest junk journal – Vintage Pink

I bought this book from an op-shop for the beautiful cover. It had a jacket but I took that off and mostly left the cover as is. I added a Project Life card the person who owns it can write their name or a word that means something to them.

I covered the inside of the covers with some floral paper so it looks like the actual inside of a book. I’d like to do this with all junk journals with book covers from now on.

I love the papers in this journal. I bought some new paper pads and I included illustrations from a children’s poetry book. I also included pages from my favourite magazine: Daphne’s Diary.

Plus there’s all the other papers: music paper, coloured paper, and coffee-dyed paper. And of course the bags, pockets, and tags.

This is my favourite journal I’ve made so far.

I’ll definitely buy more of these books and do more of this style.

Happy Mail

Happy mail from Germany

Yay, so excited to receive this package today.

It’s so fun opening up the happy mail. I love the surprise. This one was packed!

So many papers. Lots of music paper, book pages, some beautiful pictures, and some really cool German writing books and papers.

Can’t wait to make junk journals out of all this.

Junk journal

Little Women junk journal

This is such a sweet book so when I saw an illustrated version in an op-shop, I knew I could make a junk journal out of it.

I used some of the pictures for the cover and love the round picture for the front.

All of the pages are included in the junk journal. They’re all different sizes and I love seeing both the illustrations and the text.

And of course there are the normal range of papers with pockets and tuck spots.

My favourite character was always Beth.

Which was your favourite sister?

Working on a new faith junk journal

I used a book cover to make the cover for this journal. I covered the front, back and spine with some pictures from a magazine-style Bible.

I used pictures from a children’s prayer book for the insides of the covers.

I’ve made up the four signatures. I’ve just got to bind them into the cover.

I’ll put up a post with pictures when I finish this junk journal.
