Junk journal

Giveaway winner announced (plus more giveaways)

Yay, so excited to finally announce the winner. Congratulations to Vicky Kellari!

I’ve just been so blown away by the support and encouragement through YouTube. I never thought I’d like YouTube but now I’m subscribed to so many inspiring channels and I love making my own videos to inspire others.

I’m excited for three more upcoming giveaways. Some more napkin envelopes, some embellished tags, and an issue of Daphne’s Diary.

Stay tuned for the next videos with details of how to enter.

There are also some tutorials coming up as some people have been asking for more of them

Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see on my channel, because I’m always up for helping out in any way I can. And I just love spreading the inspiration, generosity, and joy of junk journaling.

Junk journal

100 subscriber Youube giveaway

Yay, after reaching 100 subscribers on YouTube, this gives me the perfect chance to do a journal giveaway.

I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. I wanted to do one for my YouTube launch but since no-one watched my videos back then, there was no point.

So, now that I know there are people who like my channel and what I create, I’m super excited and so appreciate it. Everyone is just so supportive, encouraging, kind, inspiring, and generous. I love it!

So, for this giveaway, you need to be a subscriber to my channel, like the video, and comment on the video which journal you like best.

Also, there’s another giveaway I’m doing with the napkin envelopes I made so watch the video to find out how to enter that one.

And, I also want to start doing freebies, so I’ve got some doily printables I’ve made available for anyone who wants to use them in their craft projects. I love them!

Hope you enjoy the giveaway.

Embellishments

Mini tutorial and giveaway: Stamp tags

After being inspired by Liz’s stamp tags at The Paper Project and buying a bulk lots of cancelled stamps, I made my own collection of stamp tags.

I bought 50 tags from Carefully Crafted on Etsy. I could have made my own but I just wanted to get straight into making these stamp tags and took the lazy option.

Then I experimented with layering. I added different laces and trims to the tags, some I added paper or ribbon. Some of them I coffee-dyed with a spray bottle before the layering was applied; others I coffee-dyed after the layering.

Then I added a button and ribbons and attached them using a garment pin. I got a bulk lot of garment pins from A Tattered Dream on Etsy.

I made about 33 tags and love how they turned out.

Here’s a video of the tutorial and a look at all the tags:

Let me know what you think of the tags.

If you like them and would like to own one, just let me know your favourite one and it could be yours.

Since I make things in bulk and gifts is my love language, I hope to do many more giveaways with the embellishments and journals I make, plus happy mail.

I’ll also try to do more tutorials, but I apologise for my amateur video doing my first YouTube tutorial and giveaway. I’ll hopefully get better at this.

Please subscribe to my channel if you like what I make and want to follow my journaling journey and to for more tutorials and giveaways.

Also, let me know if there’s something you want me to share.

I just love junk journals so much!!!

Happy Mail, Junk journal

Junk journal giveaway winner

Congratulations to Amy L Sauder for winning the handbound junk journal through my blog giveaway.

I’ve put together her package with some extra goodies to help her get started.

Can’t wait to send this. Love giving so much!!!!!

There’s still an art junk journal that you can win through the same giveaway. Just check out this post to see if you’d like it and for details about how to enter: Junk journal giveaway.

I try to make it as easy as possible so all you need to do is leave a comment. No jumping through hoops, no need to share on social media, just a chance for me to do what I love and give.

Giving is my love language and one of my core values and I’ve been super challenged about giving recently.

Will write more about it and share some exciting news in coming posts.

Junk journal

Junk journal giveaway

In the lead up to Christmas I thought I’d do a giveaway.

Here is a handbound journal I’m giving away:

This experimental journal will give you a taste of what a junk journal looks like to see if you like them. It is valued at $20 since it has a couple of slight flaws as I was getting the hang of how to make them, so they’re a good option to play around with them before you buy something more expensive and polished.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment.

Happy Mail

Card Giveaway

I love sending letters and cards in the mail. I especially love sending handmade cards.

I make cards in bulk then slowly send them throughout the year. I ran out of cards though, so when I had two cards I needed to send, I thought I’d quickly make two up.

Two turned into fifty-four.

I tried a new technique with napkins and loved it so I got a bit carried away. I adore them!

So, after going on a card-making frenzy, I wrote in two of the cards and now I have fifty-two cards left.

Yay, I unexpectedly got my bulk lot of cards done.  I’ll send some as proper cards that I write in, but I’ll also send blank ones as part of Happy Mail packages. Then people can use them either to send to someone or in their art projects.

But since there are so many, I thought I’d do a giveaway too.

I’ll send a fellow blogger two of each card design (along with some extra goodies – it will be a mini Happy Mail).

To enter, just leave a comment saying what you’d love to do with the cards.

Which card do you like best?

Craft hauls

Craft supply haul

Making and decorating journals is my new project. This craft supply shows how excited and inspired I am to get into junk journaling and bullet journaling.

This is the first time I’ve gotten a huge haul like this. So thankful for the tax money I get back each year. It’s like instant savings.

So here’s what I got:

Lots of stickers
Tags, envelopes, pretty paper clips, mini pegs, mini envelopes and cards, leaf ribbons
Washi tape
Papers and alphabet stencil
Paper trimmer, glue, pencil eraser, butterfly clips, notebooks
Storage containers to organise some of my art supplies

I tried to get items that went together so I could do themed journals.

I got a range of notebooks to experiment with which ones work best.

This is the first time I’m trying out tags and things like the paperclips and pegs because I love the idea of extra details in the journal like pockets, fold out pages, flaps, and ephemera stuck in the book without glue.

So excited to get started!
