Embellishments

Washi Wednesday haul

So excited to get this package in the mail.

I buy myself a birthday present every year and this year I bought some washi tape from Washi Wednesday for the first time.

I was introduced to this Etsy shop through Johanna Clough on YouTube and ever since I saw it, it’s been on my wish list.

The one on the far left, in particular, was one I was after most.

It took a while going through all the tapes and narrowing down which ones to get, but this is what I settled on.

I made sure to get lots of wide tapes because I love how useful they are. I especially love using them for spines of journals but also love that they can be used just for decoration.

I got ones that would go with botanical and vintage themed journals.

Excited to use them!

Junk journal swap with Corina

I was so blown away when a lady contacted me saying she wanted to give me one of her first journals she made.

It’s made out of an envelope and she made it following one of my YouTube tutorials when I made a journal out of a paper bag – wow!

What a special gift. I love it!!!

I asked her if she wanted one of my paper bag journals for a journal swap. She chose this fairy one:

Embellishments

My third go at sewing: Embellishments

I’m having more and more fun using my sewing machine.

This time I tried making some embellishments to put in journals.  I sewed coffee-dyed paper onto the back of these lovely images from two of Artymaze’s digital kits.

I also sewed some lace onto some of them and tried different types of stitching.

Definitely going to be doing more. Love them!

Here’s a video where I go through them:
