Junk journal

Making a holiday journal

I had such an amazing holiday with some of my family, and now I’m making a journal to record the holiday in.

I collected a lot of ephemera from the trip, and the plan is try to only use items from the holiday in the journal:

I scanned most of the ephemera, so, I can copies if I want and keep the originals.

For the cover I used a scanned image of a t-shirt my mum bought me for my birthday. I love that it has the blue butterflies on it which has become my symbol.

Then for the inside of the cover I did a collage using images from various brochures I collected. It’s sort of like a vision board of the holiday with all the places we went to represented.

I used a large envelope to make the cover, so, this I’m excited to be making my first envelope journal.

This is the first time I’ve made a journal like this, so, just having fun experimenting and we’ll see how it turns out.

What do you think?

Happy Mail, Junk journal

Amazing happy mail from Libby

Amazing happy mail from a lovely lady in America who has bought three of my journals.

She is one of my biggest supporters and her happy mail left me in shock.

I had tears in my eyes opening each package. So overwhelmed by her generosity and support.

I loved it all and wanted to include so much in my personal journal, so, I dedicated four pages to this happy mail:

I had fun decorating the pages by collaging my favourite items.

So thankful and blown away. Nothing can express my gratitude.
